Students will receive hands on instruction in sonographic scanning technique of the cerebrovascular system as it pertains to aortoiliac duplex, upper and lower extremity/digital arterial duplex, carotid, and upper and lower extremity venous duplex procedures. Students will learn methods of improving image quality through proper instrumentation manipulation as well as patient positioning and instruction. Students will explore various scanning techniques for imaging and assessment of vascular anatomy. Prerequisite(s): Grade of “C” or better in SON 220 , SON 221 , SON 222 , SON 223 , SON 281 .
