This course will focus on sonographic artifacts, quality assurance, and bioeffects as it relates to clinical safety. Students will explore various artifacts produced by the ultrasound machine, the types of quality assurance programs, and prudent use and safety guidelines in the clinical setting. Prerequisite(s): Grade of “C” or better in SON 213 , SON 214 , SON 215 , SON 216 .
