This course explores fetal and maternal assessment as it relates to the antenatal period. Students will learn about methods of fetal surveillance in recognizing fetal complications as well as maternal conditions and complications as it relates to fetal well-being. Fetal abnormalities and syndromes will be explored as well as methods of genetic testing used for confirmation. Prerequisite(s): Grade of “C” or better in SON 231 SON 232 SON 233 SON 283 .
