SON-231 Vascular Technology II

The focus of this course includes an in-depth study of anatomy, pathology, and procedures related to the cardiovascular system. Students will study procedures related to transcranial Doppler, ABI/BTP, palmer arch, and visceral vascular to include liver, SMA, and renal Doppler. Additional emphasis will be placed on exam interpretation through correlation of clinical signs and symptoms, contributors of disease, mechanisms of disease, and physical examination. Prerequisite(s): Grade of “C” or better in SON 227, SON 228, SON 229, SON 282.
