This course introduces students to entry level skills and knowledge of sheilded metal arc welding, as metal arc welding, flux-cored arc welding, gas tungsten arc welding, oxy-fuel cutting, plasma arc sutting and carbon arc cutting and gouging. Students are also introduced to welding the various joint designs in different welding positions as well as orbital welding and manual welding of sanitary tubing, blueprint reading, material documentation, and fabrication and finishing techniques commonly used in the local stainless steel industry.
