The focus of this course includes an in-depth study of anatomy, pathology, and procedures related to the cardiovascular system. Students will study procedures related to upper and lower extremity physiologic testing, lower extremity exercise arterial, lower extremity venous insufficiency, and upper and lower extremity vessel mapping. Additional emphasis will be placed on exam interpretation through correlation of clinical signs and symptoms, contributors of disease, mechanisms of disease, and physical examination. Prerequisite(s): Grade of “C” or better in SON 241 , SON 261 , SON 284 .
