This is recommended for freshman students to assist them in clarifying not only their academic plan but their career goals. This course is required for the BCS degree and can be substituted for OTC 101 Navigating College.

This is a course designed for pre-allied health students with a Bioclinical Sciences (BCS) degree designation. It will provide these students’ with skills that will be needed to succeed in BCS pre-requisite courses such as how to more effectively study, manage time, setting career and academic goals, building professional skills, and acquiring the ability to demonstrate information literacy. It will also provide an overview of all the allied health fields to ensure that these students learn more about setting and pursuing their academic and career goals. It will also teach basic science content in chemistry, cell biology, basic lab skills and more. This course should help clarify if the student has chosen the correct career path.
