Certificate of Specialization: 15 Hours
The online didactic certificate program for Computed Tomography (CT) is designed for students currently working as radiologic technologists or holding a certificate or associate degree in radiologic technology.
The program is designed to meet the structured degree requirements for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), thus meeting the criteria for the student to sit for the national registry exam. ARRT, 1255 Northland Dr., St. Paul, MN, 55120-1155. (651) 687-0048. www.arrt.org.
The certificate program is designed to be completed in 16 weeks. To meet the national registry exam requirements, the students will be required to perform clinical duties and competencies while being directly supervised by an ARRT-registered CT technologist at a clinical location that currently holds or that can obtain a clinical affiliation with Ozarks Tech. All required competencies and structured education must be successfully met before sitting for the ARRT exam.
The certificate program consists of seven core courses to prepare the student for the ARRT national registry exam in computed tomography. The courses are built around the didactic requirements for the registry exam.
Students must obtain at least 75% or higher in all CTR prefix coursework to pass and be awarded the certificate. Acceptance into the program requires the student to hold an ARRT license in radiography.
