ASL-205 American Sign Language IV Credits: 3 Contact Hours: Lec 3 This course is an overview of the field of sign language interpreting as theory practice. It is offered as a fourth semester course in conjunction with ASL 202 . This course allows students to apply the interpreting skills learned in the previous semesters to the practice of interpreting. The class provides historical, theoretical, ethical frameworks. The class is a place for learning, practicing and receiving feedback on the interpreting process. Prerequisite(s): Grade of “C” or better in ASL 201 .
