This course develops students’ ability to write in a clear, concise, accurate, and accessible manner. Students continue to build from skills learned in Composition I and will learn the fundamentals of technical and professional writing by analyzing and interpreting a variety of documents used in professional settings. They will also learn document design principles and proper research techniques used in the workplace that will allow them to create documents with a suitable writing style for a specific communicative context. This course will use hands-on learning to implement these foundational skills. Prerequisite(s): ENG 100 or ENG 101 , or department approval through writing assessment.
