30 Hour Community Service Partnership/Project = 1800 Minutes 5 Instructor Meetings = 300 Minutes Paper/Presentation = 150 Minutes 2250 Total Minutes, 37.5 Hours 16 Week course time line: Meeting with instructor every 3rd week, 3 reading assignments, 30 hour service completed by 2/3 point of semester completion (week 12), 5 page reflection paper, 10 minute presentation. This course is designed tofulfill the service learning requirements of the OTC Honors Program. Students willengage in a 30 hour service partnership/project with a community non-profit agency.As a part ofthis partnership/project the student willmeet with the instructor to select an organization, present progress reports,research andimplement civic engagement and communication principles, andcreate a final completionpaper/presentation. Prerequisite(s): Admission into the Honors Program. Maximum Credit Hours 3
