Credits: 4 Lec 3 Lab 1 Practicum 0 Tier Rate:Tier III This course is a study of the blood that includes the function, identification and testing of cellular components. Skills are developed in the analysis of hemoglobin, hematocrit, blood cell counts and blood cell morphology. The mechanisms of coagulation are also explored and the function and analysis of platelets and proteins in blood coagulation are related to changes in normal and disease states. Prerequisite(s): Grade of “C” or better in MLT 205.
