This course surveys the principles of quality management and performance improvement in healthcare. Concentrates on continuous quality improvement, case management, and risk management. Topics encompass the compilation, presentation, and analysis of healthcare data using graphic tools. Delving into screening criteria, stakeholders, and quality initiatives. The emphasis will be on abstracting and analysis skills in reporting clinical data. Prerequisite(s): Grade of “C” or better in HIT 110 and CIS 201 .
