Short-Term Course Credits: 0 The prosthodontic expanded function course consists of techniques and concepts associated with fixed and removable prosthetic expanded function procedures delegated to the dental auxiliary in the state of Missouri. The curriculum includes apply tissue retracting material prior to impression of a fixed prosthesis; extra-oral adjustment of fixed or removable prosthesis; final cementation of any permanent appliance or prosthesis; making impressions for the fabrication of any fixed or removable prosthesis/appliance; and placement of temporary soft liners in a removable prosthesis. Prerequisite(s): Missouri Dental Assisting Skills exam or proof of Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certificate or dental hygiene license.
