ATS-115 Applied General Chemistry Credits: 5 Contact Hours: Lec 3 Practicum 3 This course is an introductory chemistry course that surveys the basic concepts of the science, including atomic theory and the periodic table, molecular structure, chemical bonding and reactions, equation writing and balancing, stoichiometry, gases, acids/bases, and solutions. The lab component of this course supports the basic chemical concepts of the course while emphasizing industry-related laboratory skills and competencies including proper measurement techniques, notebooks, laboratory safety and report writing.
