This course examines the historical concepts related to disability services, along with current issues and concerns related to working with those who have been diagnosed with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Topics include disability culture, considerations for diagnostic combinations, and how to assist with learning and adaptation models. Prerequisite(s): SOC 101  or BHS 200 .
