HRM-255 Hospitality Accounting Credits: 3 Lec 1 Lab 2 Practicum 0 Tier Rate: Tier II This course is designed to give students a basic understanding of accounting and its application in day-to-day business operations. Students will learn basic bookkeeping principles and proper documentation of business transactions, types of business ownership, report generation and the use of this information in making management decisions. Students will learn to read and analyze financial statements and study the planning, preparation and implementation of a budget in business operations. Prerequisite(s): Grade of “C” or better in HRM 101 ; MTH 105 or higher.
