HRM-115 Safety & Sanitation Credits: 1 Lec 1 Lab 0 Practicum 0 Tier Rate: Tier I Proper safety and sanitation practice directly impacts business operations and is an integral part of providing a quality guest experience. This required course provides students with the knowledge of proper safety and sanitation procedures required by state and local regulatory agencies in food service facilities. The course uses the ServSafe Certification curriculum from the National Restaurant Association which is an industry recognized certification in the food service industry. Please note: Grade of “C” or higher is required for this course for advancement into upper level courses. Attainment of ServSafe certification offered in this course is required before graduation.
