Short-Term Course Credits: 0 This 8-week, self-paced review course is conducted entirely online via OTC’s Canvas learning platform. The course prepares dental assistants for the Missouri Dental Assisting Skills (MDAS) exam. Topics to be reviewed are oral disease prevention; dental materials; medical emergencies; charting; legal & jurisprudence; radiation health & safety; infection prevention; and tooth morphology. Passing the MDAS exam is one of the pathways to be eligible to take any of the expanded function courses. The MDAS exam must be completed through the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB).
