The general requirements for a bachelor’s level degree from Ozarks Tech are as follows:
Additional expectations for graduation may be applied at the program level. Please refer to the program’s description for details.
- At least 120 semester hours of college credit
- The completion of minimum requirements specified for each program.
- An institutional grade point average of 2.00 or higher
- The completion of at least 30 credit hours in residence at Ozarks Tech.
- Completion of the Missouri Civics Exam
The general requirements for an associate level degree from Ozarks Tech are as follows:

- At least 60 semester hours of college credit
- The completion of minimum requirements specified for each program.
- An institutional grade point average of 2.00 or higher
- The completion of at least 15 credit hours in residence at Ozarks Tech.
- Completion of the Missouri Civics Exam
The general requirements for a certificate of achievement from Ozarks Tech are as follows:

- At least 30 semester hours of college credit
- The completion of minimum requirements specified for each program.
- An institutional grade point average of 2.00 or higher
- The completion of at least 9 credit hours in residence at Ozarks Tech.
The general requirements for a certificate of specialization from Ozarks Tech are as follows:

- At least 9 semester hours of college credit
- The completion of minimum requirements specified for each program.
- An institutional grade point average of 2.00 or higher
- The completion of at least 4 credit hours in residence at Ozarks Tech.
CORE 42 MOTR Guarantee
All Associate of Arts (AA) degrees at Ozarks Technical Community College follow the Missouri Higher Education Core Transfer Curriculum (CORE 42) for their general education requirements. Some AA programs, however, may specify a more limited selection of eligible courses within certain knowledge areas. Students who complete all CORE 42 Knowledge Areas and Distribution Requirements using MOTR-designated courses, regardless of their active degree program, will receive the notation “General Education Complete” on their official transcript.
