Ozarks Tech encourages all members of its community to utilize the OTC Cares referral system by submitting a referral when a student exhibits concerning behavior or faces a challenging life event. These may include, but are not limited to, housing insecurity, food insecurity, trauma, domestic or dating violence, pregnancy, mental health concerns, harassment, discrimination, the loss of a loved one, or financial hardship. The OTC Cares referral system is simple, confidential, and easily accessible online.
Two key OTC Cares resources are the Student Care Team (SCT) and the Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT), which include representatives from multiple departments and divisions across the college system. These teams provide professional threat assessment, coordinate comprehensive behavioral interventions, and help uphold the college’s Standards of Student Conduct—all with a holistic, student-centered approach to support and well-being.
